US Legal Research Specialists Merge
US competitive intelligence provider InfoFirst LLC has announced the acquisition of Washington, DC-based Litigation Research Associates, Inc. Both firms focus on research for the legal services industry.
The agreement gives InfoFirst bases on both coasts of the USA, while the two companies' service offerings are complementary and operational synergies are expected. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
LRA's services include expert witness identification, due diligence, literature searches, investigative services and public records research as well as competitive intelligence and industry research.
The new team will be headed by InfoFirst's Donna Cavallini and Beth Maser of Litigation Research Associates. Maser has extensive experience and expertise in historical research and archival information retrieval, and Cavallini in business and legal research techniques, database searching, and innovative use of non-traditional information sources.
