Leddie Hands Over at TLE
Top Australian agency The Leading Edge (TLE) has announced that long-time leader Derek Leddie is handing on his role as the company's CEO jointly to Mark Sundquist and Toby Hill, while taking up a new role as Head of the Business Intelligence Group at parent company Photon. He will continue as a Director of TLE.
The new joint CEOs take up their roles tomorrow, March 1st. Both have been with The Leading Edge for over a decade and have been Directors for the past seven years, in which time the business has tripled its size, developed new offers such as online research (Whetstone) and seen expansion into Melbourne and Singapore.
Leddie, who will remain a Director of The Leading Edge, says he is 'looking forward to a continued collaboration' with the two new appointees. 'Our clients and our people will greatly benefit from the focus and experience that Toby and Mark bring. The scope and quality of our research and marketing consultancy offer has never been more exciting.'
Since 1990, The Leading Edge has been one of Australia's fastest growing research consultancies. With offices in Sydney, Melbourne and (as of this year) in Singapore, it turned over $25million in the financial year 2004-5 - growth of 40% - and employs 94 people.
