Abt Buys Public Sector Experts
US supplier Abt Associates has announced the acquisition of the International Group consulting practice of IBM's Business Consulting Services' Public Sector unit. Previously part of PwCC, the practice delivers consulting services for the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
The practice advises on international economic development including privatization, capital market formation, trade, finance, and tax reform, supporting the organisation's work to enhance economic growth and democratic institutions in developing countries. It was part of PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (PwCC) before IBM bought it in 2002.
