Grundy to Lead Marketing Sciences Health Launch
Stephen Grundy, the former head of GfK Martin Hamblin Healthcare, has joined the Board of Winchester-based Marketing Sciences, and will launch a dedicated healthcare research unit.
The unit will offer bespoke research services, primarily for international pharmaceutical and healthcare firms.
In 27 years in roles including sales, marketing, market research and business management, Grundy has worked on both agency and client side, most recently as Group Managing Director for GfK Martin Hamblin's Healthcare Division. Prior to his ten years at the agency, he worked for 14 years in blue chip pharma firms including Fisons Pharmaceutical and Boehringer Ingelheim.
Marketing Sciences MD Keith Bates says the move into healthcare has been planned for some time, but the firm has been looking for the right candidate. 'We already work in the healthcare area, albeit in a very limited way... We realised we needed someone to champion that sector; someone who knew what they were talking about, with credibility in that area.'
The agency, which is online at www.marketing-sciences.com , is part of Creston Plc, which bought UK pollster ICM in April (www.mrweb.com/drno/news5422.htm ).
