New HR Leader for Abt
Massachusetts based Abt Associates has announced the appointment of David Ferreira as Chief Human Resources Officer. Ferreira will lead all aspects of the company's human resources function with emphasis on human capital development activities. He will also join the company's Management Committee.
Ferreira began his career with General Electric, where he spent 13 years in various human resource capacities. After GE he served as Chief Human Resources Officer for Beneficial Management Corporation, a 12,000 person financial services company. He then joined KPMG as National Director of Human Resources where he developed the firm's succession planning process. Since 1998 he has been operating his own consulting company, providing a wide range of clients with strategic human resources solutions for improving organizational performance.
Abt Chief Executive Wendell Knox describes Ferreira as 'a very senior professional with an extensive track record in human resources management and consulting'.
