Garton to Lead Synovate Media Worldwide

Synovate has announced an expansion of its media research services and the promotion of Asia Pacific boss Steve Garton to lead a new global group, based in London. In addition, Craig Harvey joins from Publicis as Director, Media Research - Asia Pacific.

Garton is currently Director, Media Research for Synovate in Asia Pacific and has been in charge of the Synovate PAX media surveys for the past four years. These studies are now running in 19 markets across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. He has also overseen the introduction of a range of syndicated and customised media surveys.

Harvey will be responsible for Synovate PAX in the region, as well as the continued development of the Synovate Media Atlas survey and ad hoc studies. Based in Hong Kong, he will report to Garton. Prior to his last role as Regional Director of Consumer Insights at Publicis Groupe Media, he held media roles with companies including CVSC-Sofres Media, Starcom Media and Granada Media.

Global CEO Adrian Chedore said the move reflects the importance Synovate gives to media research, and recognises the need of media owners and media specialists for international solutions and best practices.
