NPD Promotes Spar
US-based consumer and retail information provider The NPD Group has promoted Art Spar to President of its Apparel tracking services. He was formerly Vice President, Apparel Client Development.
In addition to continuing with his old role, Spar will now also oversee sales, product management, marketing, research sciences, and custom research functions. He reports to Dennis Brown, Group President with overall responsibility for NPD's Consumer and Commercial Technology, Beauty, Home and Fashion & Sports groups. Director Lori Monaco will continue to lead NPD's Footwear and Active Apparel services - also reporting to Brown.
Spar has recently taken charge of the integration of the firm's consumer information source, AccuPanelSM, with its complementary product offerings. He joined the Group as Vice President in July 2005 when it acquired STS Market Research.
