Six Join ESOMAR Award-Winner TLE

Australian-based Agency The Leading Edge (TLE) has announced six new appointments across the business during the last month. Marika Lind is promoted to Senior Consultant within the firm's Asian division, while five new hires join the Sydney and Melbourne office.

Lind moves from Japan to work at the new office of TLE Asia in The Red Dot Building, Maxwell Road, Singapore. She joined TLE in 1999 and has worked in industries including food, retail, consumer healthcare and household products, on projects involving branding, innovations, semiotics and market frameworks. She has spent the last three years in Asia.

Four new recruits join the firm's Sydney office: Tani Shah as an Account Manager, Sarah Craig in the role of Visual Communicator, Louise James as a Senior Account Manager for Whetstone, TLE's online division, and Daniela Rozenberg as an International Project Assistant.

Shah has worked in MR for 5 years, both client and agency side, in the UK, Australia and Asia. Most recently she managed qual and quant studies for DaimlerChrysler in Singapore. She has a Bachelor of Communications and Media Management from University of South Australia and a Diploma in Communications from LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts, Singapore.

PowerPoint specialist Craig will be responsible for the creativity and visual quality of client presentations for one of TLE's global account teams. She worked previously at TNS in Perth.

James brings to Whetstone a wealth of experience of both research and programming from over 10 years in the MR industry. Her last role was as an Operations, DPS Programming Manager at AC Nielsen.

Rozenberg joined this week, with a focus on travel and project co-ordination. She has three years conference organizing and co-ordination experience, the last half of it as a Conference Co-ordinator for Medical Meetings; and one year as a Travel Consultant for STA Travel.

Lea Link has joined the Melbourne office as a Researcher. She has a Bachelor of Graphic Design (Honours) from Swinburne University of Technology and worked previously as an Account Service / Project Manager at GollingsPidgeon.

TLE's Director of Specialist Teams Kristin Hickey and founder Derek Leddie this week jointly scooped the new ESOMAR Excellence Award for the Best Paper presented at an event during 2005 and 2006. The winning paper, 'The heart transplant - consumers at the heart of your business', was presented with David Jenkinson of Carlton & United Beverages, Australia.
