Yankee Group Grows with Two Executive Hires

Yankee Group today announced the appointments of Jason Shore as the new chief financial officer and John Jacobs as the senior vice president of marketing and product management.

"Bringing in such high caliber talent such as Jason Shore and John Jacobs is a strong indicator of the health and future of our company," said Emily Nagle Green, Yankee Group president and CEO. "I am pleased to welcome Jason and John to our organization. Their appointments support our leadership position in the communications market and further demonstrate our capabilities as the global connectivity experts."

Jason Shore, CFO

As the newly appointed CFO, Shore is responsible for all aspects of Yankee Groups financial organization as well as overseeing direct operation of the companys information technology, internal controls and human resources. Shore is an international corporate finance executive with broad financial experience in marketing, sales and supply chain as well as traditional finance such as accounting and treasury. Prior to Yankee Group, Shore was the co-CEO and CFO of Pharmedica Communications, a medical education company, where he led its turnaround and sale in June 2006. The bulk of his extensive financial experience has been with various divisions of Unilever, N.V., in the United States and Israel.

John Jacobs, SVP of Marketing and Product Management

As the senior vice president of marketing and product management, Jacobs assumes responsibility for Yankee Groups global marketing and product management groups including the processes of product development and deployment. Prior to Yankee Group, Jacobs served as the head of marketing & business development of ITU (International Telecommunication Union) Telecom at its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. During his tenure at the UN agency, Jacobs devised the product and marketing strategies of the worlds leading portfolio of ICT (Information and Communications Technology) events.

These appointments complement two other recent changes to the management team. Eileen Eastman, a communications technology and market research leader who has been with Yankee Group for more than eight years, is charged with leading Yankee Groups research professionals as the chief research officer. Additionally, with Yankee Groups recent acquisition of Trendsmedia, Inc., Eliot Weinman, an industry veteran who has a long track record of successfully building events and publishing businesses, has assumed the role of president of the Yankee Group Events & Publishing Division, a newly created position.
