Digital Technology Specialist Adds Two

Digital home and new media researcher The Diffusion Group has strengthened its team with the appointment of two senior consultants, Michael Fischer and Nicholas Givotovsky.

Fisher has 14 years' experience in the broadband/cable industry and was most recently Director of Products and Programming for Comcast, responsible for digital cable, programming and high-speed Internet. Prior to this his career included work for Q1 Nanosystems, AT&T Broadband, and Time Warner. He received his MBA from the University of California at Davis, concentrating in Marketing and Strategy, and also has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration.

Givotovsky specializes in strategic consulting for interactive media, technology and policy, with a focus on cross-platform publishing and advertising models, development of digital rights management and the setting of international standards. He recently co-chaired the Rights Management and Protection working group of the TV Anytime forum, forging agreement across industries for the adoption of current digital video recorder (DVR) rights management standards. He also served as Secretary of Contecs: DD, a consortium that includes representatives from the Motion Pictures Association of America and Recording Industry Association of America, helping to establish the interoperable rights 'data dictionary' now formally standardized through ISO/MPEG21. He is a graduate of St. Andrews University.

Michael Greeson, Founding Partner and Principal Analyst with The Diffusion Group, says the two hires 'expand both the breadth and depth of our firm's expertise, providing our clients with unparalleled capabilities in the fields of advanced digital media services and interactive media, technology, and policy.'
