WPP and Goldfarb Settle
Canadian group The Goldfarb Corporation has settled its legal dispute with WPP, over the sale of its MR and consulting business Goldfarb Consultants, in 1998. WPP's CAN$110m claim has been settled for just CAN$12m.
The action was brought in April 2004 for losses incurred in the purchase of Goldfarb Consultants, which has since become part of Millward Brown. The companies entered mediation in June this year. The settlement payment is effective November 30, 2006.
