Two More Join Angus Reid
Newly established Angus Reid Strategies has hired former Ipsos ASI president Bernie Malinoff to head its advertising research practice, and Julie Horne as Vice President, Telecommunications.
Malinoff joins a long line of ex-Ipsos employees, recruited to help establish the agency since its launch in September this year. The firm is headed by CEO Angus Reid, who founded and then sold Canada's largest research enterprise, the Angus Reid Group, to Ipsos SA back in 2000.
With more than 18 years' experience, Malinoff's background includes conducting research on creative strategy, copy testing, brand equity, corporate reputation, and communication effectiveness for clients in North America, Europe and Asia.
Horne, who will be based in the Calgary office, has more than 10 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors including large scale tracking studies, b2b research, usage and attitude, product optimization, forecasting, and customer satisfaction research. She has a Masters of Science in Marketing Management from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing, University of Manitoba.
With offices in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto and about a dozen employees, Angus Reid Strategies (www.angusreidstrategies.com ) plans to grow to 40 to 50 employees by the end of the year and expand into the United States. The company will work with its sister firm Vision Critical (www.visioncritical.com ), which develops web-based systems for conducting and managing online research.
