Auto Industry Veteran Joins JDPA
Gary Dilts has joined J.D. Power and Associates from DaimlerChrysler where he spent thirty years, latterly as Senior VP, U.S. Sales.
In his new role, also a Senior VP and based at the firm's Troy, MI office., Dilts will be responsible for all U.S. automotive activities for the research firm, encompassing the development and delivery of key financial, organizational and customer business goals and strategies.
President Stephen C. Goodall says Dilts has been recognized in the industry for three decades for 'his extensive accomplishments, as well as his unwavering passion and integrity'. Executive VP Steve Carroll says that in addition to the benefits of his extensive client side experience, Dilts' broad management experience will also assist in 'transforming' JDPA.
At DaimlerChrysler, Dilts was responsible for all car and truck sales, dealer development, customer field operations and retail strategies for the company's Chrysler Group, leading a comprehensive turnaround and restructuring plan for the firm's field and dealer organizations. He was named an Automotive News Industry All-Star for the sales category in 2005. He was also Senior VP of the vehicle giant's eConnect platform, leading a cross-functional team responsible for the strategic implementation of eBusiness initiatives throughout the company.
He has a bachelor degree in business management from the University of Maryland in College Park, Md.
