Kroger Creates New Insight Role
Major US retail grocer The Kroger Co. has appointed customer insight specialist Linda Severin in the new role of Vice President of Corporate Brands. She joins from ConAgra Foods Inc. in Chicago where she was VP of Marketing.
Severin has worked previously in leadership positions at Campbell's, Dean Foods, Sara Lee and Rand McNally. She holds a bachelor's degree from Tufts University and an MBA in marketing from the University of Michigan.
Don Becker, Kroger's Executive VP of Merchandising, comments: 'Linda's passion for translating what customers tell us they want into quality products and getting them on store shelves – at the right price – will enable us to expand what we offer our customers today.' Kroger divides its brands into three tiers, Private Selection, Banner and Value brands.
Kroger is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has almost 2,500 supermarkets and multi-department stores in 31 states under two dozen local banners.
