King Fish Lands Plutsky to Head New Research Arm

Massachusetts marketing consultancy King Fish Media has appointed Gordon Plutsky to the new position of Director of Marketing and Research, with a remit to launch a new King Fish Research division.

King Fish Media designs client marketing campaigns around customer retention and lead development, and the new research arm will validate the ROI of these programmes.

Plutsky joins King Fish Media with nearly two decades of senior marketing experience, gained at companies such as CMP Technology, Ziff Davis Media, PC Magazine and PC Week. He also previously managed the research departments at Reed/Cahners Publishing and at IDG. He has an MBA from Northeastern University, a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Albany, as well as having completed Stanford University's Executive Programme in Marketing.

Reporting directly to King Fish President, Cameron Brown, Plutsky will also work closely with the company's web cast and face-to-face event customers, to build the branding of their interactive and 'in-person' events. Commenting on the appointment and company expansion, Brown said: 'We are thrilled to have Gordon on board. In addition to launching King Fish Research, his experience will bring enormous value to our clients across all of our platforms. Hiring Gordon speaks volumes about the investment we are making in the company to better serve our clients' needs.'

The company has seen its revenue grow by 200% since 2003, and was named one of the best places to work by the Boston Business Journal in 2006. Its homepage is at www.kingfishmedia.com .
