Compete Hires for New Division
Boston-headquartered online MR firm, Compete Inc, has expanded its Wireless practice with the launch of a new Telecom & Media division, and promoted Adam Guy to lead it as General Manager.
The firm already works with wireless service providers, carriers, MVNOs and handset manufacturers. The new division will offer these clients a wider range of telecoms/media MR services – including on-demand content analysis, marketing effectiveness measurement, and insight into online channel effectiveness – to help them design and launch new products and measure the impact of their marketing campaigns.
Guy has more than a decade of telecoms industry experience and was previously MD of Compete's Wireless practice. As General Manager of the new division he heads a team of sales, product marketing, client services professionals and analysts. Prior to joining the firm, he was Senior Analyst at the Yankee Group, where he specialised in working alongside wireless carriers to improve their understanding of distribution, pricing, market segmentation and technology.
