MASMI Buys Frankfurt-based Transferresearch
London-based FMCG specialist, MASMI Research Group, has acquired Frankfurt MR agency Transferresearch. The German firm will operate under the new name of MASMI Deutschland GmbH, and continue to be led by founder and Managing Director Sonja Linz.
Clarifying the reason behind the investment, MASMI Group Chairman and CEO, Sergey Kolobanov said: 'The acquisition of Transferresearch firmly establishes MASMI's presence in Germany. Not only is Germany one of the world's largest research markets, it's also a top tier investor in Eastern European economies. I'm sure that our existing and new German clients will benefit from MASMI's international expertise combined with local insights.'
MASMI was established in Russia in 1994 to provide consumer research in Eastern Europe and countries of the former Soviet Union. The buy signals its further expansion into Western Europe and follows yesterday's announcement that Harris has also extended its operations in Germany (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6627.htm ).
