Hollywood Role for Former CBS TV Researcher

The TV Guide Channel, part of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation empire, has appointed Megan Costello as VP Research. Costello will oversee all research initiatives from the firm's Hollywood headquarters.

She joins with more than 15 years' experience in entertainment research, having most recently worked as VP of Research for CBS where she managed staff responsible for syndication, network and international research. Previously Costello served as UPN's Executive Director of Research, and earlier in her career, she held research positions at McCann-Erickson, Fox Broadcasting and Paramount Pictures.

Her new role will involve managing primary research, ratings and market analyses, as well as viewer testing for the firm's original programming. She will report to Doug Yates TV Guide Channel's Senior VP of Marketing who commented: 'Megan is a seasoned television executive with an impressive background leading research for established broadcast entities. As TV Guide Channel continues to expand its audience and reach through great original content and programming, Megan and her team will play an increasingly important role as we look to grow the network.'
