BrainJuicer Reports Post-flotation Profits
Following its £12m flotation in December, online MR agency BrainJuicer has leapt into the black, listing a post-tax profit of £291,000, up from a £38,000 loss a year previously.
Pre-tax profit for 2006 is £477,000, and revenue has risen by 57% to £4.61m. Share price currently stands at 163.00p.
After the firm's stock market debut, Chief Executive John Kearon took part in a DRNO ResearchTalk podcast interview, during which he confirmed the firm's commitment to delivering its numbers and building on its successes in the US, Holland and the UK in the next 12-18 months ( www.mrweb.com/earpiece ).
During the interview Kearon told DRNO that his ambition is for BrainJuicer to become one of the world's top 5 MR agencies, and talked about potential geographical expansion into China, Eastern Europe and South America. Today he confirmed: 'The board believes the business is now well placed to make significant in-roads in this coming year and is looking to continue the international expansion in a similarly controlled and cost effective manner'.
The firm opened its New York office last September, and expects its US operations to turn a profit in 2007.
