TNS Appoints Tomei to Lead Panels Growth

After a 13 year career with ACNielsen, Robert Tomei has joined TNS as Global Head of Access Panels to establish, lead and deliver a growth strategy for the firm's global access panel business, 6thdimension™.

Reporting to Pedro Ros, Managing Director – Global Clients and Sectors, and working alongside the senior leadership team, Tomei's remit will include responsibility for regional panels in North America, Europe and the Asia/Latin America regions. He will be based in the firm's North American headquarters in New York.

With a 25 year marketing background in the CPG industry and a history of developing, managing and marketing consumer panels, Tomei's former position was as President of ACNielsen's Homescan consumer panel. In this role he developed and managed the agency's consumer purchase panel, while directing consumer and shopper insight applications, and supporting the launch of the service in several countries. Before this Tomei held a number of marketing positions at Bristol-Myers and Philip Morris.

Commenting on the appointment, David Lowden, TNS Chief Executive said: 'I am delighted to welcome Bob to TNS to provide strong leadership as we further develop our global access panel business. Tomei has served as a Board member for the Advertising Research Foundation in the US and for CRM firm, Marketing Technology Solutions.
