Marc Drake Retires from TNS
Marc Drake has retired from TNS after more than three decades at the firm, including spells as Joint MD of the UK Superpanel business and Head of TNS Business Solutions. He joined the original Taylor Nelson Research business in 1976.
During his long career with the firm, Drake has held a number of senior positions, including that of Director of TN and MD of Taylor Nelson Research. After the acquisition of AGB in 1992, he co-led the UK Superpanel business (since known as Worldpanel), after which he moved to the helm of TNS Business Solutions, where he was involved in several major brand acquisitions.
Later, Drake became part of the international management team, responsible for restructuring and merging TNS activities around Europe, and during this time was involved in the Sofres Group merger and the acquisition of a number of Gallup companies. Most recently he has helped TNS win and then run the € 50 million, 30-year Eurobarometer contract for the European Commission.
Mike Petch, TNS Group HR Director commented: 'Marc's reputation goes before him: his commitment to hard work, dedication to detail, along with his 'can do' attitude means that when Marc took on a project, you knew it would be handled with consummate professionalism and attention to detail. Everybody who knows Marc recognises and greatly appreciates the major contributions he has made to TNS and the development of the industry over the years.'
