Equity Firm Buys Control of Decision Resources
Pharma research firm Decision Resources has announced that Providence Equity Partners has acquired majority control in the company. The firm says it will use the cash to fund its growth.
Peter Hoenigsberg, CEO of Decision Resources, comments: 'With the resources that Providence offers, we will be entering a period of accelerated growth through acquisitions that complement our strategy as well as enhance and add to our core product lines.'
Decision Resources was previously owned by private equity firms Castanea Partners and Boston Ventures Management. As part of its healthcare diversification strategy, the company then acquired managed care MR agency HealthLeaders, and medical device research firm Millennium Research Group.
Decision Resources will continue with its current management team led by Hoenigsberg, who will remain CEO, and Sarah Fuller, a co-founder of the company, who will remain President.
