Synovate Gulf Names New MD
Synovate has promoted Andreas Zachariou to the post of MD of Synovate Gulf and Acting MD for Saudi Arabia, with responsibility for the firm's business in UAE, Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
Zachariou will continue to be based in Dubai where since 2004 he has held a number of managerial roles. For the five years prior to this he was General Manager of Synovate Greece and he has also worked at Synovate in Saudi Arabia ( www.mrweb.com/drno/news3582.htm ).
Nicos Rossides, Synovate's CEO for Central/Eastern Europe and the Middle East, commented: 'Andreas brings a broad research background and deep knowledge of the Gulf markets to his new role.' He added that Zachariou would also lead the introduction of new research offerings across the region.
Zachariou replaces Andreas Gregoriou who previously worked at Coca-Cola and the firm says has now moved to another senior clientside role. Rossides thanked Gregoriou for his contributions to the company's business in the Middle East: 'Under his leadership, we have consolidated Synovate's leading position in Saudi Arabia and have expanded our business in UAE and the rest of the Gulf.'
