WebTrends To Establish Nordic Web Analytics Centre
Online analytics firm WebTrends is buying Stockholm-based web analytics services firm Webcontrol in a move which the firm says will help it establish a Nordic hub and centre of excellence. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The new centre will be based around the WebTrends Marketing Lab software suite, which offers scalable web analytics, automatic optimisation of online advertising, real-time visitor segmentation and customer targeting solutions for relationship marketing.
Webcontrol was founded in 2000 and currently helps around 1,000 Swedish customers improve their marketing performance using WebTrends products. Under the new banner, the company will offer localised services, including consulting, business analyst services, and training in local languages.
Former CEO of Webcontrol Tobias Svensson comments: 'Having worked closely with WebTrends in serving many of the Nordic region's best-known names, we look forward to delivering marketing performance management solutions that optimise marketing efforts for organisations across the globe.'
WebTrends is based in Portland, Oregon and counts Nordic firms like Eriksson, IKEA, and Volvo among its customers. Greg Drew, CEO and President, WebTrends said: 'The new hub demonstrates WebTrends commitment to the requirements of the highly sophisticated companies that operate in the Nordic region.'
The firms are online at: www.webtrends.com and www.webcontrol.se
