Aegis Hires Strategy and Development Leader
Synovate owner Aegis Group plc has appointed Chantal Restivo-Alessi, formerly of EMI, as Head of Strategy and Corporate Development.
She has twenty years' experience in international organisations, including EMI and Booz Allen & Hamilton, the last ten or so at EMI Music, including time as an executive board member and in roles including Head of Corporate Strategy and COO for the firm's business outside the US and Europe.
Prior to Booz Allen & Hamilton, she worked for Confindustria and for Assolombarda in Italy. She started her career at Grand Metropolitan Group in 1988.
In her new role, she will work closely with the group's management on identifying and executing strategic development opportunities across the group, including acquisitions. She replaces Rob Myers, who has taken up an operational role at Synovate.
She describes Aegis as 'a very nimble company with plenty of growth', adding 'As an early believer in digital, it has built a unique platform for future development, as well as creating a unique market research culture and brand in Synovate.'
Group CEO Robert Lerwill says the appointment will help continue the acquisitions and strategy which have been 'a significant reason for our above-industry growth over the past decade'.
The group also announced the appointment of David Bulman to the newly created role of Chief Information Officer for Aegus Media. He joins from News International, where he was digital operations and technology director, responsible for all web site operations across the full range of titles.
