GfK Loses Young Turk
Deniz Ozerdil, formerly of GfK Turkey, has resigned and set up her own agency, Istanbul Research. The firm will focus on offering local field and tab services for international clients.
Ozerdil, who left GfK on the 13th of August, says the new company will 'meet qualitative and quantitative needs as well as offering a combination of offline and online methodologies' and has a 'young and dynamic team with more than 10 years of experience in the local market'. While at GfK, she worked in the International Projects Unit and helped establish and run the Unit's online panel.
A web site for Istanbul Research is under construction.
Turkish MR competition has been hotting up of late, with Synovate Healthcare opening an Istanbul office in July (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7111.htm ) and Ipsos announcing an agreement to buy the country's second largest MR agency, KMG Research, in May (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6787.htm ).
