Forrester Appoints Web 2.0 Analyst
In the US, Forrester Interactive has appointed web strategist Jeremiah Owyang as Senior Analyst, focusing on social computing and interactive marketing.
Owyang joins from online video specialist PodTech Network where he was Director of Corporate Media Strategy. Prior to this he was Online Community Manager at Hitachi Data Systems, launching and integrating the firm's social media programme which connected customers using blogs, forums, wikis, RSS and podcasts. Owyang was also previously responsible for the strategy and development of corporate web programmes at World Savings, Cable and Wireless and Exodus Communications.
In his new role, he will be conducting research, publishing reports and advising clients on strategic direction in the Web 2.0 sphere. Owyang, who established the Web Strategy Group in Facebook, has a Bachelors Degree with a focus on Marketing from San Francisco State University and is a frequent speaker about web and media strategy at conferences and events.
