Ipsos Launches Vet Panel
Ipsos has launched a proprietary online panel of veterinarians in North America, in response to client demand. Around 900 vets from the US and Canada have joined, with plans underway to increase this to 2,000 within the next year.
Panelists for the Veterinary Advisory Panel are pre-screened to ensure they are correctly licensed and have a patient base of at least 75% cats and dogs.
David Webb, Senior Research Manager with the Ipsos Agribusiness, Food, and Animal Health team explained that the new panel enables animal health organisations to respond to the issues impacting pets' health. He added that by highlighting which brands are being used across major product categories, data collected from the panel allows the firm to conduct surveys targeting users of specific products.
'This approach will allow animal health organisations to assess the response and potential recommendation share for new pharmaceuticals, explore veterinarians' opinions of their sales force, and understand how veterinarians treat a specific type of disease or condition,' said Webb.
Ipsos Agribusiness, Food and Animal Health is headquartered in Ontario, Canada and surveys a broad range of audiences about science-based products. Web site: www.ipsos.ca.
