Canada's Generation5 Gets New CEO
In Toronto, consumer intelligence firm Generation5 has promoted Joe Nicholson to CEO. His focus will include the raising of venture capital financing as well as overseeing development of the firm's web-based intelligence platform ConsumerFocus.
Nicholson joined the company in January as COO, bringing 20 years' experience working in executive positions with start-up and established technology business. Prior to this, he was COO at Exact Software, President and COO of Surebridge, and Founder of BBG New Media, before selling the firm to Internet services company THINK New Ideas.
He takes the reigns from Founder Milorad Krneta, who commented: 'Already Joe has given us the discipline to service our customers better. With his leadership, we'll make our vision of transforming marketing with automatic predictions a reality.'
Krneta retains his role as Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer, and will continue to lead the Math Laboratory in its work on automatic prediction technology.
Generation5 uses its technology to take market research data and transactional data and predict future behaviour for each household and postal code in North America. Its home page is at www.generation5.ca.
