Ipsos France Leaders Depart
Ipsos France has announced that its Joint MDs Pierre Giacometti and Stéphane Truchi are about to leave the group. Giacometti says 'strategic differences' with Co-Presidents Didier Truchot and Jean-Marc Lech will mean a quick exit.
In a statement released by the firm yesterday, Truchot and Lech said that they did not welcome the pair's decision to leave, and added that they were not prepared to comment further and any future questions should be levelled directly at Giacometti and Truchi.
The pair took up their roles in 2000 - Giacommetti from his previous position as MD Ipsos Opinion, where since 1995 he had been in charge of international development studies, and Truchi from TNS-subsidiary Louis Harris France, where he had been Director General since 1991.
Giacometti has today denied rumours that he is a candidate for the role of President of holding company FranceMonde, although he said he had been invited to take up the post in an 'informal manner', but did not respond. He plans to leave Ipsos no later than mid-January, because of 'strategic differences with the presidency' of the company, and confirmed that Truchi is leaving for the same reason.
Pending the appointment of a new CEO, Jean-Mark Lech, President of Ipsos France will assume responsibility for the division's operational management.
The company is online at www.ipsos.com.
