VNU and McKinsey Veterans Join ISG Board
Information Services Group (ISG), the acquisition firm chaired by former VNU man Michael Connors, has appointed former VNU Chairman & CEO Gerald Hobbs and McKinsey veteran Donald Waite to its Board of Directors.
Hobbs is currently MD and Operating Partner at Boston Ventures. He began his career with Procter & Gamble before joining media company Billboard Publications (later BPI) which he led through a management buyout, and later sold to VNU. Hobbs is past Chairman and Director of American Business Media and the Advertising Council, and is currently a Director of BNA and Nielsen.
Waite is the Director of the Executives-in-Residence Programme at Columbia Graduate School of Business, from which he graduated with an MBA in Business. He spent 36 years with McKinsey & Company until his retirement in 2002. During this time, he worked both in the US and Europe, and later became Managing Partner of five McKinsey offices in the northeast US.

With the addition of Hobbs and Waite, the ISG Board of Directors expands to six members - it already includes Robert Chrenc, R Glenn Hubbard and Robert Weissman.
Connecticut-based ISG was founded in 2006 to build an information-based services company by acquiring and growing businesses in advisory, data, business and media information services.
