Synovate Unites Belgian Businesses
Synovate has announced the formal integration of its business in Belgium, combining research operations in Ghent with the local Synovate Censydiam practice in Antwerp.
The two businesses have worked closely together in the past, but will now share resources, amalgamate management, operations, finance and human resources, and establish a joint commercial strategy and market positioning. Synovate Belgium is now led by Joint MDs Gerd Callewaert and Herman Toch.
The Synovate Censydiam Institute, also based in Antwerp, continues as an independent centre managed by Toch, developing and deploying new global products and offerings, and training new practitioners.
Toch welcomes the combination of Censydiam's 'thought leadership and strong qualitative heritage' with the 'broad research expertise, innovative solutions and cutting-edge operational capabilities' of Synovate Belgium. He adds that the integration will speed the adoption of digital technologies for quant and qual research: 'Our new interactive tools are bringing the Synovate Censydiam model and thinking into the online space.'
Callewaert says the integration will make the firm's qualitative offer in Belgium 'much stronger' and will 'in no way disrupt the day-to-day servicing of our clients'. Continuing a Synovate theme, he adds that the move will create 'greater growth opportunities within Synovate for our employees, both locally and globally.'
