Exhibition Research Org Finds New Director

US trade body the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) has appointed Cathy Breden as Executive Director, responsible for daily management of the organisation.

Breden will continue to serve as COO for the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and Executive Director of IAEE Services, and intends to integrate her CEIR activities into the IAEE infrastructure. Breden joined IAEM in 1995, and during this time she has also served as Senior Vice President, and Vice President of Membership and Chapter Relations.

Doug Ducate, President and CEO of CEIR, commented: 'Cathy's tenure in the industry provides a solid foundation and understanding of CEIR and the exhibition industry. Her appointment is further evidence of the IAEE commitment to support CEIR and to expand the foundation of useful industry research.'

Not-for-profit CEIR was founded in the US more than 25 years ago to promote the image, value and growth of exhibitions through the production of primary research studies that prove the effectiveness and efficiency of exhibitions as a marketing medium. The organisation's home page is at www.ceir.org.
