G&S Research Restructures West Coast Team

In the US, healthcare market research firm G&S Research has restructured its West Coast business with the promotion of two members of its specialist team.

Founding Principal Gary Schwebach led the team's restructure, and explained: 'Companies on the West Coast tend to have more products under development with fewer resources, so it was important for us to develop a specialised group of people to serve this market.'

Debbie Proudfoot, who joined the firm as Senior Director Client Services last March, has been promoted to VP, Business Unit Leader. She has more than 20 years of both client and supplier-side experience in the biotech and pharma market research industry, having previously worked for Amgen, Miles Laboratories and Roussel. In her new position, she oversees all aspects of the unit, from targeting prospects to managing the analytics team.

Merih Bennett was promoted to the role of Analyst, having joined G&S Research as Data Specialist last February. Bennett graduated from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis with a Master degree in Medical Sociology, where her research focus was HIV/aids.

Other members of the restructured West Coast team include:
  • Wendy Martin, who as Manager of Client Services, delivers insight to underserved stakeholders in the healthcare system, and strengthens partnerships with West Coast pharma and biotech firms.
  • Karin Gray, who joined in May 2006 as Analytics Manager to oversee the entire analysis process, from questionnaire design to final deliverables.
  • Conjoint Analysis specialist Jon Ditmer, who was promoted to Analytics Manager last year when he returned to the firm after completing a Master of Market Research degree at the University of Georgia.
  • Analyst Elizabeth Woerly, who joined the firm as an intern in 2005 and now develops process-improvement recommendations.
  • Project Manager/Analyst Chad Moore, who has been promoted regularly since he joined the firm in 2002.
  • Laura Aspling, who has been a Project Manager with the firm since 2006 to handle the details and logistics of client projects.
