Springboard Appoints Software Research VP
In Singapore, IT specialist Springboard Research has appointed Michael Barnes as VP for Software Research.
Barnes joins with more than 13 years' research experience in information and communications technology (ICT) software and services markets. He most recently led software research in Asia Pacific for Gartner, where he advised large organisations and government agencies on strategies for sourcing, implementing, and managing applications and software technologies. Prior to this, he worked at META Group, Hurwitz Group and Prudential Insurance. He has a Masters Degree from Northeastern University in the United States.
In his new role, he will report to CEO & EVP of Research, Dane Anderson and will be based in Springboard's Singapore office.
Anderson commented: 'We believe Michael is the foremost software analyst in the Asia Pacific region and we are pleased to have him take charge of Springboard's ever-expanding software research portfolio. We also look forward to Michael playing a big role in Springboard's growth as a key member of our global management team.'
