Lamsfuss to Smooth Nielsen's European Path

Nielsen Online has appointed Rene Lamsfuss to the newly created role of Senior Director, Product & Methodology EMEA, where he will work alongside European industry bodies to tailor the firm's suite of Internet measurement technologies to the needs of the regional market.

Rene LamsfussSince 2005, Lamsfuss has worked at United Internet Media, where he was most recently Head of Market Research. He began his career as a Client Service Consultant at NFO TPI (a subsidiary of Infratest Group), before moving to the European Market Research Team at Lycos Europe. Lamsfuss recently chaired the IAB Europe and EIAA working group formed to develop interactive audience measurement standards (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7503.htm ). He studied Geography, Social Sciences and Political Science at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf.

Louise Ainsworth, MD of EMEA for Nielsen Online added that Lamsfuss would be working with industry bodies and clients across Europe to progress a long-term agenda of 'innovation and localisation' of the firm's products.
