Global Marketing Hire for Ford
In the US, Ford Motor has appointed Anne Bélec as Director of Global Marketing, responsible for marketing strategies and processes, brand positioning and consumer insights.
In her new role based in Dearborn, Michigan, she will report to Jim Farley, Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
For the three years prior to her move, Bélec headed Ford's Volvo North American (VCNA) unit as President and CEO, during which time she presided over several new model launches. Before joining Volvo, Bélec was Director of Sales Planning and Distribution for Ford Motor Company, Network Business Development Manager and General Marketing Manager at Lincoln-Mercury Division, and Worldwide Marketing Plans Manager (Product Development) at Ford. She holds an MBA from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and two BAs from the University of Ottawa, in business administration and marketing.
Doug Speck, who has been with Ford since 1983 and at Volvo for the past two years, replaces Bélec to oversee the operations of VCNA, which are consolidating in Rockleigh, NJ to be nearer their Swedish parent. Speck has held several positions at Ford, Jaguar and Land Rover since 1983. Before joining Volvo, Speck was CEO of the Premier Automotive Group in Australia and New Zealand.
