Partners to Delve into Virtual World
In the US, virtual world developer Involve and consumer experience research agency Strategy Analytics have partnered to provide a new service to help organizations maximize their investment in virtual space.
The joint offering, which will be known as the Emerging Media Impact Assessment, offers companies, schools and non-profit and health care organizations the data needed to understand and manage their consumers' social media experiences.
Harvey Cohen, President of Strategy Analytics explained that as the number of people visiting virtual worlds approaches 50 million worldwide, the potential for businesses to use this medium for communicating, entertaining and informing consumers is expanding.
Drew Stein, CEO of Involve added that the partnership would allow organizations to be strategically aware of all of the potential uses and pitfalls before entering the virtual world.
The two companies are currently planning other initiatives to help clients look at virtual space and other emerging media in the context of their own resources, business objectives, target audience and the need for integration with their existing marketing and interactive presence.
Global research and consulting firm Strategy Analytics is headquartered in Boston, MA, and has additional offices in England, France and Germany. The firm focuses on the communications, consumer, automotive, telematics and enabling technologies markets, and is online at www.strategyanalytics.net .
Last October, Sentient Services launched a suite of virtual life market research services designed to help brands understand the best way for them to enter virtual worlds (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7462.htm ).
