Compete Names New President
Compete, TNS media's newly-acquired online behaviour measurement company, has promoted Scott Ernst to the position of President - he was previously Chief Client Officer.
In his new role, Ernst will oversee the continued operations and growth of Compete, acquired by TNS last month.
'Acquiring Compete and appointing someone of Ernst's caliber enables TNS media to accelerate the development and implementation of our global digital strategy,' explained TNS media CEO Dean DeBiase. Ernst himself commented: 'As part of TNS media, Compete has the opportunity to merge online and offline consumer behavior with media spending and exposure data to revolutionize how big brands plan and measure their marketing performance. This is an exciting vision for our clients'.
Online marketing veteran Ernst has more than 20 years' experience in advertising, digital media and web technology. In the past decade, he has worked with a number of high-profile brands to help them improve their business performance through the online channel. Before joining Compete, he was VP of Sales, Corporate & Business Development for web analytics and behavioral profiling software firm, Personify. Previously he was VP of Sales at marketing software firm AdKnowledge. He has a BS in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
