MetrixLab Revenues Up 76% as Growth Plans Advance
European online MR agency MetrixLab increased revenues 76% to EUR 14.5m in 2007 and is anticipating further growth to EUR 19m in 2008 and EUR 27m in 2009. To support this organic growth, the firm is planning to hire up to 40 new MR professionals this year, and expand with a US office in 2009.
MetrixLab has dedicated IT teams focusing solely on developing new online interviewing techniques.
CEO Han de Groot credits the company's growth with its ability to combine market research expertise with proprietary research technology and global consumer panels.
'Our figures show that MetrixLab continues to hold its growth in terms of turnover as well as profit, reflecting the fact that our products and operations are indeed scaleable,' says de Groot. 'Furthermore, our profit margins are three times as high as the average in the sector, enabling the company to hire excellent marketing research professionals, invest in R&D, expand geographic footprint and continue to grow our consumer panels.'
De Groot questions the long-term prospects of online agencies that focus on access panels and low added value research products and services. 'In contrast, MetrixLab focuses on a suite of branded solutions in the areas of communications research, new product development research and satisfaction research, competing with the traditional market research multinationals,' he stated.
Headquartered in the Netherlands, MetrixLab has local offices in the UK, Germany, France and Spain and conducts online research in 39 countries.
In November, the firm acquired web site and software usability research specialist2C in the Netherlands
