NeuroFocus Names Client Services Chief
US neuromarketing research agency NeuroFocus has recruited Michael Smith for its newly created post of EVP for Client Services.
In February the company made the news when it formed an alliance with Nielsen to develop new measurement techniques based on the latest advances in neuroscience.
Smith previously headed his own technology sector consultancy, Michael Smith Business Development (MSBD), and before this was EVP and General Manager for marketing communications agency Euro RSCG in Washington. He also has a 25 year background with Dow Chemical Co, Burson-Marsteller and the National Association of Manufacturers. Smith has a BA and MA in Journalism from Northwestern University and also studied at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
'As our operations grow at a faster rate than ever, so do opportunities for top-tier people with a multitude of skills and experience, including in the areas where Mike has built his reputation,' said CEO Dr AK Pradeep. 'Our clients are leaders in their categories, and they expect and deserve to work with counterparts who understand their businesses and speak their language. Mike does both well.'
NeuroFocus applies brainwave, eye-tracking and skin conductance measurements to track how the human brain processes stimuli like advertising, branding, packaging, pricing and product design. Web site: www.neurofocus.com .
