Dell to Add MR Jobs in Ireland
Less than a month after revealing plans to axe 250 executive jobs in Ireland, technology firm Dell has announced it will be recruiting 20 staff for its new ISG (Industry Solutions Group) in Dublin and Limerick; some of whom will focus on market research and R&D.
Dell ISG manufactures devices for the medical, Internet, industrial, gaming and digital cinema sector, and the new jobs in Ireland will include 'go-to-market', multilingual sales, and field-based engineering posts. The division has been established in the US for approximately nine years, and the firm says that this expansion will allow it to better serve European-based clients.
EMEA ISG Director and General Manager Patrick Dwyer will lead the new operation, and comments 'We've been focusing on this market in the US for some time. While Dell has rationalised in a number of areas, this is one area where the company will be growing.'
