Compete Offers New Web Measurement Service
Compete, TNS media's recently-acquired online behaviour measurement company, has launched an online measurement service that combines site analytics, search analytics and audience measurement in a single service.
Compete PRO promises marketers a single repository for online metrics; offering access to data about consumers and tools to put that data into immediate action within their marketing programs. The system comprises:- Search analytics: new search term, site and market category reports to help ascertain competitors' strategies.
- Site analytics: new metrics, daily updates and a full 25 months of history reporting on reach, page view and visitor engagement available for more than 1,000,000 web sites.
- Ranked lists: downloadable lists of up to 500,000 sites across multiple categories delivering a comprehensive view of Internet traffic.
The firm says Compete PRO enables users to see where their web sites fit in the larger landscape of the web and on which sites to place ads. It also assesses the impact competitors' site redesigns are having on visitor engagement, and which companies are doing the best job with the search keywords that are most important to their clients.
Explained CMO Stephen DiMarco: 'We designed the platform around the way online marketers work, addressing their feedback that other data providers are too costly, don't enable them to drill down into critical segments and aren't built to translate what they see into revenue-generating results.'
TNS acquired Compete in March, in a $75m deal which CEO David Lowden said would build on TNS' ability to help clients understand consumer behaviour in the 'new and highly complex digital world.'
The firm was founded in 2000 and is located in Boston, Massachusetts, with offices throughout the US. Web site: www.competeinc.com .
