Angus Reid Hires Public Affairs Leader

Canadian-based Angus Reid Strategies has appointed Ipsos veteran Tim Olafson as Executive Vice President, in charge of its national public affairs group.

Olafson was previously President of the Ipsos Observer North America, and a member of the Ipsos North America management teams. Prior to that, he was SVP and MD for Ipsos-Reid in Western Canada.

'With the arrival of Tim, the company is expanding its resources and investment in its public affairs practice both in Canada and abroad,' said President & COO Ed Morawski. 'Tim brings experience, expertise and leadership to our national team of researchers and consultants.'

The company is headquartered in Vancouver, and has offices in Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, San Francisco, New York and London. The original Angus Reid Group was sold to Ipsos SA in 2000, and a new firm - Angus Reid Strategies - was then formed as part of the Vision Critical Group.
