New VP Youth Research at Turner
In the US, Lanie Richberger has been named VP of Research at Turner Broadcasting System's Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media (AYAKM) group, based in Atlanta.
Richberger joins from Sesame Workshop, producer of Sesame Street and other kids-targeted programs, where she was the leader of the Strategic Trends and Audience Research department. Prior to that, she worked at Seltel providing research support to local broadcast stations. She has a BSc in Journalism from The University of Florida in Gainesville.
In her new role, she will be responsible for organizing, analyzing, and reporting on audience ratings, delivery, and user information. She will liaise with organizations such as Nielsen Media Research to provide research information for Cartoon Network New Media, which markets and distributes network programming to non-traditional media sources. Additionally, Richberger will oversee all consumer focus group testing and other quantitative studies, including annual brand studies and syndicated research.
She will report to Jon Marks, SVP of Turner Research, as well as AYAKM President and COO, Stuart Snyder. Marks comments: 'Lanie's expertise with kids television, consumer market research, audience trends, branding, licensing digital media and international markets make here the ideal person to help us evolve and grow Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and our digital properties'.
