comScore Doubles Global Site Coverage
Online audience measurement firm comScore has doubled the number of web sites it reports on worldwide, to offer more robust and granular site audience data and improve its trending capabilities.
The biggest increases in sites measured are in Russia (244%), South Korea (234%), Australia (183%), the Netherlands (180%) and France (179%). For the UK, the number has been increased 125%.
The firm says that this move will allow it to smooth out fluctuation in monthly data trends, ensuring data are available for more time periods, and more sites.
'As the Internet continues to grow globally, it has become increasingly necessary to provide even greater depth of reporting in specific industries and across international markets,' explained EVP Linda Boland Abraham. 'Our new reporting capability enables comScore to better capture the 'long tail' of the Internet and paint a more complete picture of the digital world.'
The enhanced reporting will initially be available in all comScore-published markets outside the US, with US and global regions being available in the coming weeks.
comScore's capabilities are based on a cross-section of approximately 2 million Internet users who have given the firm permission to capture their browsing and transaction behavior, including online and offline purchasing. President & CEO Magid Abraham recently stated that he anticipates his firm will double its revenue to $200m in the next two to three years.
