MRC Thumbs Up for Edmunds.com
Online automotive specialist Edmunds.com has received Media Rating Council (MRC) accreditation for its Ad Impression Measurement service.
This certifies that the firm has adhered to the MRC's standards for media ratings research, as well as the Interactive Advertising Bureau's (IAB) measurement guidelines in counting online ad impressions and traffic measurements.
'This accreditation helps ensure advertisers and their agencies that our audience measurement practices are valid, reliable and effective,' said Bradley Spannbauer, Director of Advertising Operations. 'This is a validation of both the custom reports we deliver to advertisers and to the site traffic analysis we collect to report on the trends in the automotive industry.'
MRC Executive Director George Ivie confirmed that the firm is the first dedicated automotive web site to meet the Council's requirements and receive MRC accreditation.
Edmunds.com was launched in 1995 and now publishes four consumer web sites. The firm is headquartered in Santa Monica, California, and has a satellite office in Detroit.
