TNS Buys Rest of InterScience
Kantar-owned TNS has acquired the remaining 37% of TNS InterScience, one of Brazil's leading custom market research businesses.
Founded in 1983 and based in Sao Paulo, TNS InterScience employs 100 people and in 2007 had revenues of Brazilian Reals 30m (c.£8m).
The company focuses on customer satisfaction, brand and advertising, new product development research, and identifying trends and business opportunities. It specialises in the FMCG, technology, finance and automotive sectors, and its clients include more than half of TNS' Global Account list. TNS has held a majority interest in the firm since 2005.
Kantar-parent WPP said that the investment continues its strategy of developing its networks in faster growing markets and sectors.
