United Sample Raises $3m to Grow Business
In the US, online survey sample firm United Sample has raised $3m in Series B funding which it will use to fuel sales, increase marketing efforts, develop technology and enhance operations.
United Sample is headquartered in Encino, California and was launched last year by Matthew Dusig and Gregg Lavin; the founders of survey sample firm goZing. The pair received an initial investment of $1.3m from investment firm DFJ Frontier, while this second cash injection has been provided by venture capital house Greycroft Partners.
As part of the deal, Greycroft's west coast Partner, Dana Settle will join the company's Board of Directors.
She comments: 'In this challenging economic climate, only the most promising startups are receiving new funding. United Sample has the potential to transform the online sample industry, and the company's measured results and experienced team have been outstanding.'
In the past six months, the firm has registered more than one million survey panelists worldwide, received more than 3 million visitors to its panel web site, with more than 275,000 surveys completed.
