Online Publishing Body Hires Insight Head
AOP (the Association of Online Publishers) has appointed Tim Cain in the newly created role of Head of Research and Insight, reporting to the association's Acting Director Liz Somerville.
Cain, who is tasked with setting and driving AOP's research agenda for members' benefit, says there is 'lots in the pipeline'. He will prioritise the development of the Annual Membership Survey, and producing regular industry benchmarking and analysis.
He has worked for 15 years on the development, management and interpretation of research and insight within the consumer publishing industry, for both magazines and web sites. Much of his experience comes from EMAP, where he was most recently Head of Research and Business Development in the Consumer Specialist Media division, helping to revamp research in the Automotive division in particular.
Somerville comments: 'I'm thrilled that Tim, with his impressive experience in the research field, has joined the team. Research will be a vital part of AOP activity this year, seeing us deliver a full and varied programme to our membership.'
